JLG Forklift Parts - After retiring in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started on a cross country RV trip. After spending numerous years establishing his family built crane company with his brother, John had no idea that this journey would bring forth the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling technologies was the end result of a road expedition.
During their journey, John reacquainted himself with previous business connections along the way. In combination with these conversations and a significant event; two workers had been unfortunately electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were passing through the Hoover Dam. John uncovered an infinite market for a product that could promptly and securely elevate individuals in the air to accomplish maintenance and other building functions.
After their return from vacation, John set up a partnership with two of his friends and obtained a metal fabrication company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting with a small crew of twenty staff, they produced and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The company incorporates many of the basic design elements of that original lift into current models.
JLG forklifts have come a ways from the time when Mr. John L. Grove returned to town from his cross-country road trip and since the initial aerial work platform debuted on the market. These days, the company proudly continues to expand itself into different markets globally and develops new products to make certain customers are capable of being more efficient and perform in the workplace within a safer atmosphere.
